Dr Koshy has over 25 years of experience in the field of cardiology with special interest in Heart Failure, Echocardiographic imaging and Stress Echocardiography. In addition, he is also the leading cardiac device specialist in the North & North West Coast of Tasmania having implanted over 1500 pacemakers and defibrillators.
Following his post-graduate training in Cardiology at the Christian Medical College, India in 1985, Dr. Koshy underwent fellowship accreditation in Australia in 2003 at the Launceston General Hospital and The Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital. Since then, he has been a staff Cardiologist at the Launceston General and also performs procedures at St. Vincents Calvary Hospital Launceston.
Dr. Koshy is readily accessible for phone advice to GP’s and, uniquely, available to patients for phone advice when they are concerned. All echocardiographic imaging is also personally performed by Dr. Koshy himself, ensuring prompt, real-time feedback for patients and GPs.
